Douglas Fir Flooring

Fir is more tanned in color than pine though they are often confused. Fir is also a little softer, making it more suitable to a residential setting. Reclaimed douglas fir flooring has deeper tanned color tones which make this flooring more subtle than other options. Fir trees can grow very large. This means that Fir can often be milled into a wider plank flooring or, sometimes, options on clear, vertical grain are available.

Standard Dimensions:

Douglas fir flooring, even more so than pine, is often milled out of larger beams which provide greater options on dimensions. Typically we usually have reclaimed douglas fir flooring options between 3 – 9″+ wide by 6 – 12’+ in length. Adjustable ¾” thickness.
